The Power of Words. The film opens on a close-up of the artist at work, his brush dancing across a big white canvas. The camera moves between sweeping shots and intimate close-ups while his voice explains what the words Bonds, Heritage and Colors mean to him.

A projector behind him casts shadows of Arabic letters as cultural scenes unfold in black and white. Past, present and future meet on the canvas. As the final strokes land, the artwork appears in full: history and identity, alive in light and colour.
